Day or night, if there is an emergency situation with one of your animals you can rely on us for quality emergency care. Please see below for our emergency policies.
Reporting an EmergencyTo report an emergency please call 269/793-3050. If there is no answer and you feel that your patient is unstable please contact an alternative veterinarian. Since we are a mobile clinic, it is possible that we will be in an appointment when you call, or on the other side of our practice area. If this is the case, the person answering the phone will direct you to alternative veterinarian. However if we are not currently available and your patient appears stable we will be at your place as soon as possible.
It is our company's policy that emergencies take priority over appointments, so if we are able, we will rearrange our schedule to take care of your animal in its moment of crisis.
Starting January 1, 2015 we will be charging a small fee for appointments that take place outside of normal office hours. This policy does not apply to our food animal clients.
At the present time, we do not offer hospitalization, radiographs or emergency surgery. If it is apparent that your pet will need to be hospitalized, or will require service beyond our capability, we will provide treatment to stabilize your patient and then refer you to the closest facility that can provide additional care.
There will be some days/nights in which Dr Reinart will be off duty. If this is the case you will be directed to contact alternative veterinarians for service. These alternative veterinarians will have different pricing structures and most likly will honor agreements made between Pickle Street Veterinary Clinic and yourself.
